Exeter Cathedral

Lady Chapel Inside

Exeter Cathedral: one of the great cathedrals of England and one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture worldwide.  The cathedral is surrounded by an amazing green area. Inside the cathedral you are amazed with the uninterrupted vaulted ceiling.

You need a vertical panorama to be able to capture all of it. I attempted a vertical panorama but I made a mistake; I used my camera vertically so in the processing later I missed a lot of the sides due to correction.

I shot 7 handheld frames (ISO 800) with my Nikon D700 and the tokina 12-24 @ 20mm.  I still have my old lens, but it works nicely on the FX format after 18mm.

Canary Wharf by night

This is the place I used to live when I came in London. Now I live in the other side where the blue building is. You can see the result from 5 exposures from Canary Wharf. It was a windy night and couldn't get a calm river.

Used multiple exposures to get clear details from buildings. But you cant see it on the crappy low-res version :)

9 Brackets Handheld HDR

St Paul by Stathis Xagoraris
Shot on the left was taken on One New Change mall next to St. Paul. It is a handheld of 9 brackets using Nikon D700 and the Tokina 12-24 at 18.

Brackets were merged in Photomatix and edited in Photoshop.

Thank god the day was perfect :)

Scorpius

This is another test of my Nikkor 50mm F1.4 lens. You can see one of my favorite constellations  Scorpius or Σκορπιός in a summer night.

With a Nikon D7000 pushed to 3200 ISO for 6 seconds you can see the result on the left.Ideally for 50mm on Nikon DSLR's the safest is 5-6 seconds of exposure without having startrails.
